Air Recirculation Bioreactor (ARB)

Air Recirculation Bioreactor (ARB)

Biosystems Air Recirculation Bioreactor / Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) wastewater treatment plants are designed to treat domestic-strength sewage to achieve “Class C” treated effluent suitable for reuse in industrial applications or recycled for irrigation applications.

With the addition of “Xline Filtration & a sterilization module, Class A Treated Effluent that is suitable for reuse in “landscape” applications, can be achieved.

Biosystems Technology evolved over two decades of research and development with innovative wastewater treatment, including recognition of the latest developments in the MBR Process and ARB Cross-Flow Bio Media Air Recirculation Bio Reactor Process.

Biosystems has scrutinized all aspects of wastewater treatment methods and developed Improvements in many areas. This has resulted in a series of new concepts that simplify and enhance performance and reliability. This technology is the basis of an ARB Forced Draft Enclosed Air Recirculation BioReactor. It employs the familiar Gross Flow Bio Media, accommodates influent flows continuously, and accomplishes nitrification, denitrification, and clarification, all in a modular system.

Energy Efficient Process

Biosystems provides a range of turnkey ARB Sewage Treatment Plants for small to medium-sized communities throughout Indonesia and Southeast Asia, with populations from 50 to 5000 persons.

ARB Air Recirculation Bio-Reactor Offer:

A Revolution in Sewage Technology

  • Benefits to Engineering Consultants and Users:
  • Wastewater treatment that exceeds all EPA discharge standards at a lower cost compared to SBR’s Extended aeration and Activated Sludge systems
  • The Development of the ingenious crossflow geometrically structured Pacmedia that makes all the difference
  • Operating costs and energy usage that are significantly lower than competitive systems with the revolution in process design of the Enclosed ARB Air Recirculation BioReactor
  • Trouble-free operation with minimal electric mechanical components
  • Easy adaptability to any size or multiple modular Containerized systems, any configuration for new Development Projects
  • Approved by World Bank, AusAid, Australian Department of Foreign Affair and Trade. Unsurpassed performance in remote locations for ease in operation and minimal running cost
  • Today, Biosystems ARB system is the most advanced total solution technology for Domestic & Commercial wastewater treatment

Understanding the dramatic impact made by Cross-Flow Pacmedia on the design of Biosystem’s wastewater treatment system is crucial.

Biosystems Trickling Filter Systems are a combination of anaerobic, aerobic, and anoxic biological treatment processes that maximize the efficiency of biomass degradation. Incorporated in the design is a special patented cross-flow media called Pacmedia. This, together with the unique design for recirculation and reuse of the vented air process over the media, vastly reduces the energy required and substantially increases vigorous and various colonies of the selected micro-organism.

The illustration demonstrates a typical energy use profile for various wastewater treatment processes published by Water & Sewage Work USA.
