Biosystems was contracted to provide a turn key 500m3/day seawater RO desalination plant located in Bali, Indonesia. The plant has many advanced features including a highly efficient energy recovery systems, drilled seawater intake bore holes, and high alloy piping. This plant includes a 2MW diesel generating station, along with fuel management systems and transfer switchgear. It was necessary to run the feed and brine pipelines through sensitive ecologically-fragile mangrove environment with minimal disruption.
BSG scope of works included project management, design, process engineering and procurement specifications for all desalination equipment. BSG provided design engineering and site supervision during construction and installation. Construction of the facility included utilized both expatriate and local staff. Our scope required that we work closely with the local environmental Department to secure the necessary government permits.
