Biosystems (BSG) provides design-build services for water treatment and desalination equipment applications. Because water is a basic requirement for almost every type of industry, BSG has been involved in many fields including mining, water processing, municipal water supplies, and the supply of resort drinking water. The company provides after-sale support services such as operations and maintenance under contract or on an as-needed basis.
As a design-build company, BSG will analyze a particular application and advise the best design solution. Once the client approves these, BSG will then construct the equipment to meet the specifications. Construction may include turn-key site works, total equipment supply, or partial system supply. The company has in-house control capability options that provide maximum flexibility in process implementation. The BSG can also operate water treatment and desalination equipment on a contract basis and offer continuing after-sale support through technical assistance, troubleshooting, and spare parts supply. BSG’s plants and installations can be monitored using Internet-based remote monitoring.
While BSG’s core business is desalination, it can also supply ancillary process systems such as intakes and discharges, conveyance pipelines, water storage, and traditional water treatment systems. A standard skid-mounted product line is available in sizes ranging from 60-400kUSgpd (225-1500 m3/d), which can be configured for outdoor use, containerized, or installed in indoor settings. BSG has a standard line of 2800 m3/d trains, which can be easily incorporated into larger systems.
Biosystems Air Recirculation Bioreactor / Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) wastewater treatment plants are designed to treat domestic strength sewage to achieve Class C treated effluent, suitable for reuse in industrial applications or for irrigation. With the addition of “Xline Filtration & Sterilization module, Class A treated effluent, suitable for reuse in “landscape” applications, can be achieved.
Biosystems technology evolved out of two decades of research and development with innovative wastewater treatment, including recognition of the latest developments in MBR Process, and ARB Cross-Flow Bio media Air Recirculation Bio Reactor Process Biosystems scrutinized all aspects of wastewater treatment methods and developed Improvements in many areas.
Result: A Series of new concepts that simplified and enhanced the process performance and reliability. This technology is the basis of an ARB Forced Draft Enclosed Air Recirculation BioReactor. It employs the familiar Gross Flow Bio Media, accommodates influent flows continuously, and accomplishes nitrification, denitrification, and clarification, all in a modular system. The Biosystems ARB Process features allow for design flexibility contributing to substantial market advantages.
